We all LOVED them. Beautiful and exciting music. We went to a high school retreat and worshipped these songs.
I can wait another couple of years if it means getting something as good as Today is the Day. You can tell he has guitar flowing through his blood.All-in-all, a very likeable album that i just can't get enough of. It's been a while since I heard something new from Lincoln, this album was definitely worth the wait. Many of his previous songs were covers of other well-known songs, but Today is the Day has many more originals - not only is his song-writing creative, it is also inspiring and refreshing.I much prefer Lincoln's cover of Salvation is Here to the original.
He's very versatile, and very technical, without coming off as showy or egotistical, even on the Van Halen-esque "Let Your Glory Shine". This is a great worship album. Great music, very worshipful, and it never gets old. He covers a lot of territory here, from the aforementioned song, to the acoustic "the Love of God", the John Mayer-esque "This Love", and the funky gospel-tinged "Give Him Praise", which fans of Lincoln's past song "Everybody Praise the Lord" will love. It is far from being predictable, and very far from being conventional (within a praise and worship standard). First off, if you've heard of Lincoln, you know of his amazing skills as a musician.
I recommend this CD. I got this CD of Lincoln Brewster's website. I got 3 and a free t-shirt.
The album, in general, is notable because of the many different song styles that Lincoln Brewster has used. I am really enjoying this CD. All in all, a musician's musician CD. This shows his versatility and reminds us that his background is top notch professional. In particular, I really like the last track, "Let Your Glory Shine". The intro and the interlude make me turn up the volume on my stereo.
